What is it for

How it works
Fibroblasts are typical cells of connective tissue and are the main producers of collagen. This protein ensures the protective function, elasticity and firmness of our skin. Collagen treatment acts directly as a growth factor on the fibroblasts already present in our dermis. This means that, after being injected, it directly stimulates the fibroblasts by activating them to produce greater quantities of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. To achieve this effect, three to four sessions are carried out every three to four weeks.

The application is done by means of small injections with a very fine, practically imperceptible needle. Slight discomfort may be felt for a few seconds in some particularly sensitive areas. No anaesthesia is required.
In some cases, a slight swelling at the sites where the collagen was injected has been noted after application. This phenomenon, however, disappears spontaneously after a few hours without any results. It has no side effects or allergic reactions. It cannot be performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding or if there is inflammation/infection in the area to be treated.
