What is it for
Cryo T-Shock is a medical technology for the treatment of cellulite and localised fat that non-invasively transfers alternating flows of heat and cold to the tissues in a controlled manner. This machine, used in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of various imperfections, brings numerous benefits. First and foremost is the reduction of localised fat and cellulite. It is also used in the treatment of pain, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and anti-oedema effect, obtained through alternating vasoconstriction and vasodilation induced by alternating thermal flows. The areas that can be treated with this technology are the face, arms, abdomen, hips, buttocks, inner thighs and legs.
How it works
The treated area undergoes alternating flows of heat and cold. The latter can reach a temperature of up to -18°C, but generally remains around -8°/-10°C on average. This generates a thermal shock that first of all stimulates the drainage of liquids and accelerates cellular metabolic processes, favouring the reduction of localised adiposity. The thermal shock in fact kills fat cells through a mechanism called cell apoptosis, and these are then naturally eliminated in the following weeks by our organism. It is also used in the field of physiotherapy, as it promotes the absorption of joint inflammation by relaxing the muscles, again exploiting the therapeutic effects of alternating vasoconstriction and vasodilation. In most cases, it is combined synergistically with other technologies to achieve the best results. The results of the treatment usually start to be visible after the second session.
Frequently Asked Questions
The number of sessions is variable and certainly depends on the type of blemish, its severity and the size of the area to be treated. On average, 6 to 10 sessions per area are necessary, usually scheduled on a weekly basis.
The treatment is not painful, causing only the perception of a slight localised heat or cold that quickly disappears after the session.
Each session lasts one hour. The area to be treated must be clean and free of creams, lotions or perfumes. Any jewellery or accessories that could impede or annoy proper gliding over the treatment area must be removed. The area may be slightly reddened and cold to the touch, but this condition disappears spontaneously within a few hours without leaving any marks.
The first is a medical technology capable of reaching very low temperatures, with a deeper and more intense action. The second is an aesthetic technology, which aims to treat the same imperfections, but acts less intensively and with fewer benefits than the medical version.
The treatment is contraindicated in cases of pregnancy or lactation. It is also strongly discouraged in the presence of liver disease or connective tissue disease (connectivitis). The treatment is also contraindicated in all diseases in which cold is a trigger for worsening symptoms (cryoglobulinemia, cold urticaria, raynaud's disease, acrocyanosis, etc.).
