It’s peeling time!
With the arrival of autumn also comes the ideal time to resume treatments such as peeling, even more exfoliating and stronger, as UV exposure decreases and temperatures also drop.
Peels are an excellent treatment for renewing facial skin, stimulating cell turnover and giving a smoother, brighter appearance.
Peels fall into two basic categories:
- exfoliating peelings: this type causes exfoliation of the facial skin because they act deeper, also favouring the reduction of imperfections such as spots, discolouring and superficial wrinkles. This category includes, for example, peelings used in the treatment of melasma and those with a more marked anti-ageing action.
- non-exfoliating peelings: these are less aggressive peelings that do not cause exfoliation and in some cases can be performed at any time of year. These give a very bright and even complexion to the face. Some curative peelings suitable for acne sufferers also fall into this category.
At our centre, we offer different types of peelings, which are also part of specific protocols that can be customised according to the needs of the skin and the time of year.
