Sculptra VS Radiesse: the main differences

These are two biostimulating injection treatments, but what actually changes between one treatment and the other? Continue reading the article.

Sculptra is a biostimulant based on injectable polytic acid that progressively improves the appearance of the skin by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. After the treatment session, you will be able to see noticeable results. It is usually used to treat more mature skin and to give a slight volume, in fact it is not only used on the face, but also on certain areas of the body.

Radiesse, on the other hand, is a fully biocompatible calcium hydroxypatite-based biostimulant; on average, the effects last about 12 months with peaks of 18 months. Therefore, yearly treatments are usually recommended. It is mainly performed on younger skin in comparison with Sculptra.

In order to give more detailed information about the individual case, a consultation with the doctor is necessary so that he can 'touch' and examine the skin.
