Retinol VS Glycol

Let's talk about anti-ageing active ingredients.

People are often asked about the difference between retinol and glycolic acid and which is better.
Both are two excellent anti-ageing agents, but work differently on the skin.

Retinol acts both superficially and more deeply, combining its surface smoothing action with a stimulation of collagen production, thus helping to reduce the appearance of surface wrinkles.

Glycolic acid, on the other hand, works more on the surface, acting mainly on the skin's texture and radiance, also reducing enlarged pores.
Be careful because these two active ingredients cannot be safely combined in the same application, especially if we are talking about slightly higher concentrations, so we cannot use them together in our skincare, but can alternate, e.g. applying retinol one evening and glycolic acid another evening!
