What treatments can I do in summer?

At this time of year, people often try to find effective and quick remedies to get into perfect shape for the summer, but not all treatments can be performed during the warm season, mainly because of the sun!

Speaking of facial treatments, during the summer period it would be best to avoid photosensitising treatments, i.e. treatments that make the skin hyper-sensitive and reactive to the sun's rays. Among the treatments that are best avoided are lasers, such as the fractional CO2 laser, which causes the skin to become very hot, or non-surgical blepharoplasty.

A strong doubt always arises concerning peelings, can they be done in summer?

Not all of them! The more exfoliating ones do not, as one would risk burning the skin and encouraging the formation of spots. But there are gentler peelings, which do not cause exfoliation but help speed up cell turnover, thus making the skin brighter but not reactive to the sun.
There are also home treatments that can be carried out in the comfort of your own home, such as our Active Peel, which contains salicylic, pyruvic and mandelic acid at the correct concentrations so that it can also be used in the evening in summer.

Facial treatments that can be safely carried out are instead:

  • deep facial cleansing
  • radiofrequency
  • non-surgical facelift

As far as the body is concerned, there are many treatments that can also be performed in summer:

  • muscle firming
  • treatments to improve water retention and cellulite, such as our Cellu-lytic protocol
  • laser hair removal in areas such as the groin and armpits, if you do not necessarily have to expose yourself to the sun during the treatment period

For the best results, the advice is always to start body remodelling and localised fat reduction courses in the autumn, so that you can take advantage of all the cold months to define your silhouette and appreciate the effects in the summer!

Injection treatments that can be carried out safely in summer are:

  • filler
  • botox
  • PRP
  • biorevitallisation
