VITAMINS - Which ones are best for the skin

Vitamins are very important for healthy skin and there are many of them, but some in particular provide specific benefits that we cannot do without.

There are different ways of taking these vitamins: some people prefer to use supplements to accompany a diet with vitamin-rich foods. Or in cosmetics, they are increasingly used in the formulation of skincare products such as serums and creams.

Some of the best vitamins for the skin are:

Vitamin A
Vitamin B
Vitamin C
Vitamin D

Each of these has different characteristics and benefits, adapting to different skin types.

Vitamin A, from which retinol is derived, promotes cell renewal to combat skin ageing and sun spots, for an overall anti-ageing effect.
Vitamin B, specifically B3 (also known as niacinamide) has an anti-ageing effect due to its fight against free radicals. It also has a sebum-regulating action and is therefore ideal for treating oily skin.
Vitamin C protects the skin from oxidation by free radicals caused mainly by the sun and pollution. This antioxidant effect reduces the formation of dark spots and improves skin texture.
Finally, Vimania D is an excellent ally for improving radiance and reinforcing the hydrolipidic film (the so-called skin barrier); it also helps normalise the skin's immune system.

Among the Samsara Medical Centre's products you can find serums containing vitamin C, in formulations suitable for both dry and oily skin, and can be purchased directly from our centre in Lugano.

To each his own vitamin, which one do you use regularly?
